Put-In-Place means there are no small individual parts that need to be stuck down. It's easier to install and easier to remove. It's larger than the condensed peel-and stick version so requires more time and materials to make.
Put-In-Place Logitech Harmony Button Repair Pad

If you are not having trouble with the snap dome keys Don't Repair Them Volume, Channel, Play, Pause, Arrows and OK If you are having trouble then I recommend Deoxit GOLD G100L (available as an optional add-on). You could also use Isopropyl alcohol.
If you don't often use the number buttons at the bottom of the remote, don't worry about them. Just install the repair pad If you DO use the number buttons or if you are already having trouble with those buttons, then I recommend peeling back and cutting the bottom of the white sticker found on the circuit board and attaching it to the top of the repair pad. This makes a significant difference in how easily those buttons respond to a light button press.
Compare the versions All are put in place. No peel and stick, these are not stickers.
Top: Repairs the buttons around the LCD only. You cannot later get just the lower buttons. In the future if you want to repair the other buttons a complete new keypad membrane would need to be ordered.
Full: Repairs all the rubber switch buttons. This does not include repairing the metal dome switches. The metal dome switches typically last much longer than rubber contact switches. Metal dome switches can be cleaned (after pulling up the sticker holding them down)
Gold: Repairs all the buttons. Like the Full version, all the rubber switches are repaired with ButtonWorx™ membrane and it also includes new gold plated metal dome switches. For this version you do need to remove the old metal domes and the white sticker holding them down. Just warm it with a hair dryer and peel it off. Some rare versions have the domes built into a loose sheet much like the ButtonWorx™ which does not stick down and the Gold version would simply replace that part of the original remote.
Upon experiencing unresponsive buttons on my Harmony 650, I searched for solutions and stumbled upon the inconvenience of having to press two buttons at once to get one to work. Disassembling and cleaning the device with isopropyl alcohol provided limited success, but even then only for a limited time. Before long, I found myself resorting to the frustrating act of smearing pencil lead on the button pads, only causing them to become stuck active on first press.
With mounting aggravation, I delved into research and happily found this product on eBay that could finally put an end to my woes. The product arrived from the United States to the United Kingdom in an impressive six days, and installation was a breeze thanks to my prior disassembly experience and the clear, instructive guidance provided by buttonworx's YouTube video.
Overall, the product has evolved to near-perfection, but I do wish there was a bit more information on its longevity. Until then, I can rest easy knowing my Harmony 650 is functioning as it should.

Logitech Harmony 650 back to life
I had my Logitech Harmony 650 for years and after a while a few of the buttons stopped working. I reprogrammed the non functioning buttons as a work-around. Decided to give the PUT-IN-PLACE Button Repair a try. Followed the instructions on YouTube which took about 20 min to do. Now all the buttons work on my remote!

The product works as advertised. I have a Logitech Harmony 700 remote that started to fail, wouldn't turn on my components with one button when it did function it would not turn the systems off plus other button functions were starting to fail. My research showed that there were no other remotes on the market that performed like a Harmony (since Logitech has discontinued the Harmony remote line) except for high end remotes with high end prices. That being said I saw Ben's video about the button replacement pad. I figured for the price why not give it a try. By watching the video and a little patience in about 30 minutes I completed the process and now have a working Harmony 700 remote just like it came out of the box new. The button repair pad definitely saved me the money of purchasing a high-end remote that would replace and function like the Harmony 700.
