The ButtonWorx™ membrane keypad permanently fixes the buttons by inserting a new keypad between the original buttons and the circuit board. New electrical contacts that never wear out like the rubber keypads do and it blocks any oil or dirt from causing problems in the future.

This version is the complete button replacement. No Deoxit needed to clean the old metal switch contacts. The GOLD version keypad replaces the old white sticker layer and also refurbishes all the rubber button switches.
To install the GOLD version ButtonWorx™ repair you do need to remove the old snap domes held down by a white sticker. Warm it up with a hairdryer to make it peel off easier. The circuit board needs to be cleaned with isopropyl. I like to use a damp q-tip and give each button contact a good rubbing. That is easier once the sticker is removed. Just don't get Isopropyl near the LCD screen. It can't break it but it does get under the backlight and make the display look weird. If there is any adhesive left behind after removing the old domes, please clean that up so it doesn't find it's way into your new ButtonWorx™ buttons.
Compare the versions All are put in place. No peel and stick, these are not stickers.
Top: Repairs the buttons around the LCD only. You cannot later get just the lower buttons. In the future if you want to repair the other buttons a complete new keypad membrane would need to be ordered.
Full: Repairs all the rubber switch buttons. This does not include repairing the metal dome switches. The metal dome switches typically last much longer than rubber contact switches. Metal dome switches can be cleaned (after pulling up the sticker holding them down)
Gold: Repairs all the buttons. Like the Full version, all the rubber switches are repaired with ButtonWorx™ membrane and it also includes new gold plated metal dome switches. For this version you do need to remove the old metal domes and the white sticker holding them down. Just warm it with a hair dryer and peel it off. Some rare versions have the domes built into a loose sheet much like the ButtonWorx™ which does not stick down and the Gold version would simply replace that part of the original remote.
When reassembling remote, make sure the light pipe plastic notch aligns with the rubber keypad notch

Happy with this!
My old Harmony 665 Power Off button was degrading, and found out Logitech has discontinued their Harmony remotes. An intensive search of the internet did not produce a suitable alternative; at least not yet. Most alternatives do not have advanced functionality such as adjustable repeat delay for buttons, or a help button in case an IR command failed.
So I bought two second hand Harmony 650's. One of them worked well, but the other one (intended as a spare) had a lot of failing buttons.
So I ordered a few Gold repair pads from ButtonWorx and followed the video instructions carefully. Within one hour the remote worked flawless!

P.S. tip: if you re-assembled everything except the small hatch at the back & top (were two screws are), you can re-use the glue on the hatch simply by heating it a little with the hair dryer you used to remove the sticker from the circuit board.

I have 2 semi-old Harmony 650's that both had buttons that never or hardly ever worked. Thought I was coming to the end of the road with my beloved Harmony remotes, but decided to give this Gold edition repair a go...
Could NOT be happier!! Highly recommend this! Great instructions, and fairly easy to do. From the mail man drop them off till I had replaced them both took less than 90 minutes, including getting tools together, cleaning everything inside etc...
Only thing I'd change; I'd pay for the "full" UPS Ground instead UPS Ground Home Delivery (or whatever it's called). It took 8 full days to get them here, and patience may be a virtue, but... I don't have any LOL
But the awesome product arrived well packed, with great instructions, so no regrets at all!

Simple and ingenious product
I have my Logitech Harmony 650 since about 10 years. Love it, but recently I have been fixing the buttons around the LCD screen quite often. Tried several methods to fix the wrong buttons, but after a time the graphite did not conduct anymore. I tried aluminium foil, even bought graphite varnish. All could hold only a couple of months max. I installed this new foil and screwed the remote together, and voila! All buttons work now like charm! I hope that it will last longer:) Thanks for this great product! Also, the shipment was very fast, about 2 weeks to Europe. Absolutely recommended!
