The ButtonWorx™ membrane keypad permanently fixes the buttons by inserting a new keypad between the original buttons and the circuit board. New electrical contacts that never wear out like the rubber keypads do and it blocks any oil or dirt from causing problems in the future.

This version is the complete button replacement. No Deoxit needed to clean the old metal switch contacts. The full version keypad replaces the old white sticker layer with metal domes and also refurbishes all the rubber button switches. Also available is the GOLD edition which has gold plated metal domes.
To install the latest version ButtonWorx™ repair you do need to remove the old snap domes held down by a white sticker. Warm it up with a hairdryer to make it peel off easier. The circuit board needs to be cleaned with isopropyl. I like to use a damp q-tip and give each button contact a good rubbing. That is easier once the sticker is removed. Just don't get Isopropyl near the LCD screen. Iso can't break it but it does get under the backlight and make the display look weird. If there is any adhesive left behind after removing the old domes, please clean that up so it doesn't find it's way into your new ButtonWorx™ buttons.

All buttons work again
Installed it following the video guide and all my buttons work again, didn't even had to install the spacer for the directional/ok buttons. Very relieved that my Harmony 650 works as new again, especially now that they are no longer being manufactured. Shipped to Brazil without any issues.

Brilliant for people who want to repair their tech
Excellent product. Not just the button fix, but adhesive to re-affix the cover for the hidden screws.I'm not a novice at repairing electricals and tried various conductive paints and adhesive tapes. All were temporary fixes. This was easy to apply and reliable. You can find videos to help you, if you are new to fixing things. If you are new, get the buzz of fixing something rather than binning it. Use this product.

Just What the Doctor Ordered
Simply getting the "Turn Off Assistant" button to work was worth the price of admission. But the repair didn't end there: all the other buttons which were inoperative or flaky — including a custom "TiVo Captions" button —now work properly (and those which were working seem more responsive). The repair took perhaps fifteen minutes, of which five or so were spent making sure that the alcohol had dried. No peeling the white layer or deoxit needed. And no problems with the number buttons. Highly recommended.

Works like it's supposed to
I followed the video directions step by step and the repair worked like a charm. All of the buttons that stopped are now working. I wouldn't recommend this to someone who is not handy. But if you are, go for it.
