The Proceq DY-216 DY-225 keypad uses 6mm Cross Shape snap domes

To remove the rubber keypad cover, warm the keypad with a hair dryer on hot.

I used a dull exacto knife to peel up the rubber keypad cover. It's about 2mm thick. You don't want to peel off the thin black sticker on top of the rubber keypad so you need a thin tool to reach down and grab it from the bottom. Pry it up from the right edge so you don't risk damaging the connector cable.

The adhesive holding it down is not sticky at all after removing it so you need a new adhesive layer when putting it back together. After repairing or replacing the snap domes you can replace the rubber for testing before using the adhesive to hold it down permanently.

Install the adhesive on the button panel FIRST, not the rubber keypad! The adhesive is very difficult to apply to the rubber keypad. It is much easier to place it on the board and then take the top paper off and stick the rubber keypad down to it.

Remove the blank side paper and stick it down to the board. It's hard to align it perfectly and not really necessary. Only adhesive is left after both paper sides are removed.  Before removing the top printed paper side, make sure you have applied some pressure everywhere there is adhesive. This is a bit tricky to peel off the paper without making a mess of the thin and fragile adhesive layer. Giving it TIME before top paper removal usually helps as well to let the adhesive settle and stick better to the button sheet.
