To open the remote there are two phillips screws. One under the battery door and another under the white label. If you poke through the label to get to the screw then you can keep the label and part number for future reference. If you peel off the label it will not stick back down without help.
If you need to clean the rubber keypad because of battery leaks or a drink spill, you need to pry the clear light pipe plastic off. It is stuck to the top label where the logo is printed. A small amount of pry effort should pop it off.
This remote had significant corrosion from a battery leak. 6 of the buttons were heavily corroded and required scraping with a dull razor knife and then cleaning with an abrasive eraser. Only one circuit tracing was damaged and needed repair.
The ButtonWorx™ membrane is installed with the glossy side facing toward the rubber keypad and clear plastic light pipe.
There are two small plastic clips holding the circuit board in the top plastic housing.
