Hallelujah!!! It works again!
Thank you so much! Our remote has been not working properly for at least 2 years and I have been trying to find a replacement remote. So glad I found this site!
My remote works again
The replacement part arrived in two and a half weeks in a simple envelope—along with assembly instructions—but was well-protected (foam sheet, protective sleeve, and paper).
There were no customs duties or VAT to pay; I don't think the package was inspected.
You just need to take your time and be careful. It’s a job well within the capabilities of a DIYer.
My Companion remote is working again, and I’m very happy because I can't find a reasonably priced equivalent these days.
The domes seem a bit noisier than the originals, but that might just be because they're new. And even if they don't last as long as the originals, replacing them will be easier in the future (since they aren't glued down).
I’m very pleased and want to thank ButtonWorx, as I couldn't find this replacement part anywhere else.

Hi I was a little leery about this product because my remote wasn't working and I knew it was broken until I installed this product and It didn't work completely at first but then I made a few adjustments and bam every button work as it should as if it was new...CHEERS

Recently I ordered two button repair matrices for two GBC Ultima 65 heated laminators I was called to repair. Both laminators were about the same vintage. Both laminators had control panel issues and both were unusable. One laminator was worse than the other. I started with the better of the two laminators by following your directions for cleaning the boards with alcohol and a Q tip. The first board had some "residue" on the gold-plated pc terminal. It cleaned up okay. (not beautiful but satisfactory). After re-assembly the operation of that first laminator was restored. The keypad had renewed tactile resistance and felt "fresh".
I repeated the same process on the second worse laminator. The "residue" on the second board was heavier and more stubborn. Knowing that the gold plating on the board is microscopically thin, I only scrubbed up until I felt uncomfortable going further. Once reassembled the second board still failed in the same manner as before. I assumed that the residue was the problem so I went back at cleaning it. I had pushed the Q tip with alcohol as far as I could. Next I used the eraser end of a pencil dipped in alcohol and lightly brushed the grime. Only a few strokes and the residue surrendered and the gold plating became bright & lustrous! Once reassembled, that laminator operation was restored.
I don't know how safe it would be for you to suggest to others about using the eraser. but for me it worked like a charm.
The matrices you supplied me fit perfectly, arrived timely, reasonably priced and cured the defect. I am a happy customer and my customers are happy customers.
