G’day Ben,

I’m finally finished with my little overhaul of my vintage game collection. It’s been a fun time with some interesting outcomes across my game range.
Sorry for the late update as my work takes me away from home for weeks. I’m working in the mining sector here in Western Australia. The first envelope arrived 10days after ordering and the second envelope was 12days. Arrived in perfect condition, still flat and no signs of damage on the envelope. All buttons flat and perfect.
Firstly Ben, this has been incredible!! I have been a Pro Carpenter for 30yrs. I’m that young kid opening my toys to see them work and look for improvement/modifications. Hand built all my racing BMX bikes ground up. You get the drift.
Never in my time have I seen such a return from a well thought out and practical design. All credit to you mate…Seriously! With my results I hope to give you a new market because I will forever now use your buttons, new or vintage.
I know all my games inside out and their characteristics when played. The game that needs a side press for firing. A joystick that is hard to activate. The game that is rapid fire and has destroyed the rubber button so much it has collapsed. Then repaired with auto windscreen silicone and built back up on the sides but still needs to be pressed hard.
Now after the button application, bang on perfect like the factory version. All button applications don’t require drilling into the surface anymore. A normal press and things are great again. The rapid fire games are just spectacular and show’s up just how much wear I have on games.
Even the repaired rubber button is back to normal and feels perfect again. One thing I really noticed is the feel I get on the button. A good game with a perfect rubber that has not deteriorated (games are over 40yrs old) over time gets a really good feel on pressing. Almost better now than new. More solid fell and spring back after pressing is way better. I did keep an eye on how I installed them with the small opening you designed just to see how things. I would orientate them in the same directions and different ways with the four way button joysticks.
And I seemed to be very frugal with the four universal packets. I have four large buttons left over. I experimented with over sized buttons and found some games could use them no problems. Others always had to be a perfect fit. Like my Tomytronics 3D viewing games. As you will see in the many pics I have sent. They are so good now it’s not funny. I still have a few to go but I will pick them up on the next order.
Honestly Ben I’m stunned at the results. I had expectations of an outcome but you blew that out of the water. All games a ready now for the next 40yrs and hopefully some young kid down the track gets them as they will play perfect still.
Thanks again and if I can help you in anyway just yell out mate. Here to be of service

?

Cheers
Dean
