1) The 2-year warranty is for keypad designs containing patterns of buttons meant to fix a specific device. These have been designed for the product and tested. ButtonWorx™ "universal" products, consisting of mostly single buttons that can be used in millions of different keypads, cannot be controlled or tested in every possible situation. With countless variations of keypad designs there are rare applications where ButtonWorx™ may not work well. Some odd features on unusually designed keypads may present problems.
2) ButtonWorx™ 2-year warranty is only available on orders placed here at ButtonWorx.com Ebay, Amazon and other reseller platforms have their own warranty period. These platforms take a significant percentage of the sale which cannot be recovered after their warranty (or return) period ends.
Universal (individual) buttons 90 day return policy: To be fair, it is impossible for us to guarantee ButtonWorx™ will work in every application. It is the buyers responsibility to research their product (before ordering ButtonWorx™) to know if the product should work for them. This may require you to open your device for inspection. Please ask us questions before ordering as we may be able to help! However, if you want to return these products we would need all buttons in the order returned. They can be unopened, used or damaged. Please contact us first letting us know the reason for return. Return by letter envelope is usually sufficient. We use USPS Informed Delivery so even if your order is delivered to the wrong address we will see the photo of the delivery with your return address and assume everything is complete.
How to request warranty
If you ever have any problems with ButtonWorx™ please contact us with your order number. We can arrange a free replacement or a refund*. We are always working to improve ButtonWorx™ products so it would be a huge help if you could tell us exactly what the problem is. Photos are always welcome and very helpful.
Replacements would be sent by letter envelope. Depending on the circumstances we may require the product be returned by letter envelope at the customers expense, however in most cases a good description of the issue and a photo will be sufficient. *Refunds are available for the product only. Shipping costs cannot be reclaimed.
