I recently went on a health kick, and wanted to buy a rower to exercise with.  Knowing it was likely to be a fad, and that I’d use the rower a couple of times before getting bored, I wanted to spend as little money as possible.

So I saw this little beauty on Facebook marketplace, advertised for A$50 (~US$25).  These normally retail for about A$1500-1800 (around ~US$750-850), so I called the person and asked if it worked, and they said yes, but the computer doesn’t work, and there was a little rust.

So, I went straight out, picked it up, and yes there was a little rust (nothing major) and the computer sort of worked, but you couldn’t work the buttons to start any of the programs.  So I got out some isopropyl alcohol and a cotton bud and gave the buttons and contacts a clean, and got it sort of working, but wanted a more permanent solution.

In comes Buttonworx.  Researched a couple of options on google, Buttonworx seemed the easiest and permanent.  So, quick order on ebay and a couple of weeks later my delivery arrives.  Here’s the install.
